Our head butcher Lewis Babakhan, is the youngest head butcher in the West Midlands at only 25yrs old.
Starting as an apprentice straight from school Lewis learnt fast, becoming assistant manager at Robinsons Butchers & Delicatessen helping them win many awards and become established as one of the best butchers in West Midlands.
Lewis is also a passionate cook, and loves to give his customers great new recipes for every type of cut we sell.
All our sausages are homemade, using Lewis’s secret recipe and free range pork from Packingtons. They are now so popular we can barely keep up with demand.
How Local is our Beef and Lamb?
All our Beef and Lamb is raised on the pastures surrounding the Farm Shop. Our traditional Hereford Beef is dry aged for 28 days and our Lamb is dry aged for 14 days giving the meat an incredible succulent flavour and tenderness.
We also stock Free Range Pork and Free Range Chicken from Packingtons in Staffordshire.

You can simply take a short walk following the Stable’s Walking Trails and see all our cattle and sheep grazing the land or take a tractor trailer tour with one of our farmers Jack, Adam and Ewan who will tell all about how we raise our animals. Ewan is running regular monthly FREE farm walks for anyone who is interested in Organic Farming and finding out where their meat comes from. Please check facebook for the dates!
Our Turkeys and Geese are raised by the Adlington family who have been farming Turkeys for three generations and their farm is only 18 miles away in Balsall Common near Solihull. They have a great reputation for producing great tasting g Turkeys and Geese using very high standards of animal welfare.
Our Beef comes from native Breed Hereford Cattle and is raised on the surrounding fields, here at the Stables Farm. Hereford breed are slow maturing giving the beef excellent marbling which produces full flavoured and juicy meat. We also dry age all our beef for 28x days making the beef so tender cutting it is like a ‘hot knife through butter’.
Our Pork and Capons (large chickens) are all sourced from Packington Free Range Farm who are renowned for their high animal welfare standards and high quality meat. Their farm is based 40 miles away near Lichfield in the West Midlands.
Our Famous Sausages are all handmade using Head Butcher Lewis’s secret recipe and Packington Free Range Pork.
Our Ducks are sourced from Gressingham Farms in Suffolk. All their farms are Red Tractor farm assured and maintain very high animal welfare standards.
Our Bacon and Gammon is British sourced from the Cheshire Oak family run business based in Cheshire who pride themselves on producing great quality dry cured bacon with no added water.
